Terms of Service

1. The short version

Veedio turns something you write, link to or describe into a short video: it writes the script, narrates it, generates the visuals, burns the captions and — if you ask it to — posts the result to your TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account. The videos are yours, including the ones you make on free credits, and you can sell what you make with them. Don't use the service to impersonate real people, to launder someone else's copyright, or to break the rules of the platform you are posting to. Either of us can walk away at any time.

These terms are the agreement between you and Veedio (“we”, “us”). Using the site, the app, the public API, the MCP server or the CLI means you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you are confirming you are allowed to.

2. Your account

You need an account to generate a video. You sign in with a magic link sent to your email address or with Google, so access to your inbox is access to your account — keep it secure, and tell us at once if you think someone else has it. Give us a real address: sign-in links, the “your video is ready” email and the notice that a generation failed all go there.

You must be 18 or older to use Veedio. One person or company, one account; don't share credentials or resell access without asking us first. You are responsible for everything done under your account, including by anyone you give an API key to.

3. Credits, plans and billing

A credit is a unit of what a generation costs us to produce, not a video. There is a base cost to write, score and render, plus a cost per scene that depends on how the scene is filled — a still or a stock clip is cheaper than a scene a video model sets in motion. Longer scripts have more scenes, so they cost more. You always see the estimate before you spend, in the create form and from POST /api/v1/credits/estimate.

A new account gets 60 credits once, on signup, with no card. Paid plans — Starter at $19, Pro at $49 and Studio at $149 a month at the time of writing — are billed monthly in advance through Stripe, in US dollars, and carry 600, 2,000 and 7,500 credits respectively. Prices and allowances are the ones shown on the pricing page when you subscribe; if we change them for your plan we will email you before the change takes effect and you can cancel.

Renewals top up; they do not stack. When a new billing period starts we bring your balance back up to your plan's allowance. If you have 300 credits left on Starter, the renewal adds 300 to make 600 — it does not add another 600. Unused credits do not roll over and have no cash value.

When you queue a generation we deduct a deposit. Once the script exists we reconcile it against the real scene count, so you may be charged a little more or a little less than the quote — never more per scene than you were quoted. Every movement is visible in your credit history.

Cancel any time from the billing page or the Stripe customer portal. Your plan and its credits stay live until the end of the period you have already paid for, and then the account drops back to the free state. We don't pro-rate refunds for partial months and we don't buy credits back.

4. When a generation fails

A generation that fails is refunded automatically, in full, in credits. The job queue retries a failing step a few times; if it still cannot finish, the video is marked failed with the reason on it, the credits go back to your balance and we email you. You do not have to ask, and there is nothing to claim. Editing a scene's line and regenerating that one scene costs no credits on any plan.

That is the whole refund policy for credits. Money we have already taken for a subscription is not refunded — but if something has gone wrong on our side that the automatic refund did not cover, email us and we will put it right rather than argue about a clause.

5. What you may and may not make

Don't use Veedio to make or publish:

• anything illegal where you are or where you publish, anything that harasses, threatens or endangers a person, and anything that sexualises a minor;
• content that impersonates a real person — no putting words in the mouth of a named individual, no synthetic likeness or voice of a real person, living or dead, without their documented permission, and no video that a reasonable viewer would take as a statement by someone who did not make it;
• videos built from source material you do not have the right to use — don't paste in a script, an article, a transcript, a brand asset or a photograph that belongs to someone else and is not yours to reuse. You confirm you hold the rights to everything you submit;
• deceptive medical, financial or political claims, fake news framing, or anything passing off a generated video as documentary footage of a real event;
• spam: bulk near-identical uploads aimed at gaming a platform's recommender rather than at an audience.

Label it as AI where you have to. Every frame and every voice Veedio produces is generated. TikTok, Instagram and YouTube each require AI-generated or synthetic content to be disclosed in some circumstances, and the rules change; it is your job to set that flag and to keep to the rules, community guidelines and API terms of whatever platform you publish to. Publishing through Veedio does not do it for you.

Don't attack the service either: no probing other people's data, no reverse-engineering, no automated load beyond what the documented API rate limits allow, no reselling our output as your own generation API. We may suspend an account, remove a specific video, or refuse a generation that breaks this section, and we will tell you why.

6. Who owns what

You own what you put in and what comes out. Your brief, your script, your edits and the finished video are yours, on every plan including free credits. You can publish them, monetise them and use them commercially. We claim no ownership of them and we do not put a watermark on them.

To run the service you give us a licence to do the obvious things with your content: store it, send it to the providers in section 7 so the video can be made, host and stream it back to you, and hand it to the platforms you ask us to publish to. That licence lasts as long as we are hosting the file and ends when you delete the video or close the account.

Separately, if you ask us to feature a video publicly — by marking it public or agreeing to let us use it in a showcase — you give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host and display that video and a still from it on our site and in our marketing, with credit if you want it. You can withdraw that at any time by emailing us or by unmarking the video, and we will take it down. We never make a video public by default.

We do not use your content to train our own models. Veedio itself — the site, the app, the pipeline, the presets and the name — stays ours.

7. The providers behind the pipeline

Veedio is assembled from other people's services, and making a video means sending your material to them. Your brief and script go to a language model for the script; scene text and image prompts go to fal.ai (or Replicate) for stills and clips; the script goes to ElevenLabs for narration; a stock scene sends a search query to Pexels; a presenter scene sends that narration to the avatar model on fal.ai (or to HeyGen, where a deployment is configured for it). Accounts and files sit in Supabase, the site runs on Vercel, payments go through Stripe, and email goes through Resend. The privacy policy names all of them and says what each one gets.

Those providers have their own terms, and we pass their constraints on to you: a provider may refuse a prompt, change a model, or go down, and none of that is something we control. Don't paste in anything confidential that you would not want processed by a third party.

8. Publishing on your behalf

If you connect a TikTok, Instagram or YouTube account you are authorising us, through that platform's own OAuth flow, to upload videos and read back the post's stats as you. We store the access and refresh tokens encrypted, use them for nothing except what you asked for, and you can disconnect at any time from Settings → Connections, which deletes the tokens, or revoke us from the platform's own settings. Auto-Mode schedules publish unattended, on the cadence you set, until you switch them off.

Two things worth knowing. Until each of our platform apps has passed that platform's review, uploads may be forced to a restricted visibility — TikTok posts to “only me” and YouTube uploads private — and the publish dialog says so before you press the button. And publishing is one way: deleting a video in Veedio does not retract a post that has already gone out. Take that down on the platform yourself.

9. API keys, MCP and the CLI

The public API, the MCP server and the CLI do the same things the app does, spend the same credits and get the same automatic refund on failure. A key is shown once, at creation; we store only a hash of it and cannot recover it for you. Treat it like a password — anything done with your key is done by you, and spends your credits. Revoke a key at Settings → API keys the moment it leaks. Rate limits are documented and we may throttle or block traffic that ignores them.

10. Changes and availability

We want the service to be fast and up, and we do not promise uptime, a particular model, a particular provider or a particular feature. Models get swapped as better and cheaper ones appear; we will not silently make a plan worse than it was when you bought it. If we make a material change to these terms or to your plan, we will email account holders before it takes effect. Small corrections get made in place, with the date at the top of this page updated.

11. Ending it

You can delete any video, cancel your plan, or ask us to close your account entirely at any time. We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, that charges back a payment, or that puts the service or other users at risk; where it is a fixable mistake we will say so first. When an account closes, its videos and generated assets are deleted, so download anything you want to keep before you go. Unused credits are not refunded in money.

12. No warranty

Veedio is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law where you live allows.

Be particularly careful with the output. Scripts, visuals and voiceovers come out of machine learning models: they can be factually wrong, bland, off-brand, or unexpectedly similar to something that already exists. We do not review your videos before you publish them and we do not warrant that a generated video is accurate, original, or safe to post in your jurisdiction or on your platform. Watch every video before you publish it.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, neither of us is liable to the other for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost goodwill, whatever the theory and even if we were told it was possible. That includes anything that happens to a channel or an account because of a video you made here — a takedown, a strike, a demonetisation or a suspension.

Our total liability for any claim relating to Veedio is capped at whichever is greater: the amount you paid us in the three months before the claim arose, or $50. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

If a third party comes after us because of what you made or published with Veedio — a rights holder, a person you depicted, a platform — you agree to cover the reasonable costs of dealing with it.

14. Governing law

[Governing law and venue — owner to complete] This clause is deliberately left as a field rather than guessed at: it depends on where the business is incorporated and where its customers are, and a wrong answer here is worse than a blank one. Until it is filled in, the rest of these terms stands on its own and any dispute is governed by whatever law would apply by default.

15. Everything else

If a clause here turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of it survives. Not enforcing a term once does not mean we have given it up. You can't transfer this agreement without our consent; we can transfer it if the business is sold, and we will tell you. These terms and the privacy policy are the whole agreement between us about Veedio.
