The best AI video generators for ecommerce, side by side

Six tools for an online store that needs a video per product and has a catalogue too big to shoot: what each one makes, what it costs to start, what trying it is like, whether your own product photos or footage go in, whether the video carries a watermark and whether it posts for you — every competitor cell from a dated read of that company’s own pages. We make Veedio, so it is in here; there are no ratings and no overall winner, because they do not do the same job.

Who each one is for

Pick by what you already have

Material already made, a marketer who edits by hand, product footage and a timeline, an animated or avatar presenter, your own clips to trim and subtitle, or listing copy and nothing else. Each of these is the right answer for some store.

  • Veedio (ours)

Stores with a catalogue too big to shoot that want a captioned short per product for social — written from the listing copy, read before it renders, and posted from one place. Not for the product-page video, where shoppers expect the real item, and not for videos longer than 3 minutes.

  • Pictory

Stores with material already made — blog posts, recorded demos, webinars — that want longer videos cut from a large stock library, sold in minutes of video.

    Veedio vs Pictory, in full
  • InVideo

A brand with a marketer who will shape each product video by hand and wants the newest video models and premium stock footage in one subscription, billed per seat.

    Veedio vs InVideo, in full
  • CapCut

Sellers who already have product footage or photos and will edit by hand on a timeline, on desktop, web or phone; its AI video generator takes text, images or keyframes on paid credits.

    Veedio vs CapCut, in full
  • Steve AI

Brands that want animated characters or avatar presenters for product explainers, with their own media uploaded alongside, and are happy to pay yearly.

Veedio vs Steve AI, in full
  • VEED

Sellers who film their own product videos and want them trimmed, subtitled and exported in the browser, with 1080p to 4K on paid plans.

Veedio, for online stores

What each Veedio plan makes in a month

Billed monthly, no annual plans. A typical product short is five scenes and renders in about three minutes; AI motion costs more per scene than stills, and the cost is on the button before you generate. One product photo of your own can open the video; every scene after it is generated, so keep your own footage for the product page.

  • Mini$7/month

    ≈ 15 videos a month with stills, ≈ 2 with AI motion

  • Starter$19/month

    ≈ 46 videos a month with stills, ≈ 8 with AI motion

  • Pro$49/month

    ≈ 153 videos a month with stills, ≈ 29 with AI motion

  • Studio$149/month

    ≈ 576 videos a month with stills, ≈ 110 with AI motion

Questions

About choosing an AI video generator for an online store

What is the best AI video generator for ecommerce?

It depends on what you already have. If you have blog posts, demos or webinars, Pictory turns existing material into longer videos. If a marketer will shape every video by hand with the newest models and stock footage, InVideo. If you have product footage and will edit it on a timeline, CapCut. If you want animated characters or avatar presenters, Steve AI. If you film your own products and want them trimmed and subtitled in the browser, VEED. If you start from the listing copy and want a captioned short per product for social, written and posted from one place, that is what Veedio is built for. We make Veedio, so read our row with that in mind; every other row is from a dated read of that company’s own pages.

Will the video show my actual product?

On Veedio, only in the opening frame: one product photo of your own can open the video, added in the composer, and every scene after it is a generated illustration of a product like yours in use — not the item a buyer receives. If the real product has to be on screen throughout, use your own footage in an editor: CapCut’s AI video generator also takes images, and VEED, Steve AI and Pictory take media you upload, as their rows say.

Should I use these videos on my product page or Amazon listing?

Not the ones made on Veedio. The product page is where a shopper inspects the thing that will arrive in the box, and Veedio’s scenes are generated rather than footage of your item, so that slot is best filled with your own footage. Veedio’s product videos are for the TikTok, Reels and Shorts posts that send shoppers to the page.

Can I run these videos as paid ads?

On Veedio, yes. You own the videos on every plan and can use them commercially, paid ads included. There is no watermark on any plan, the export is 1080p, and the music beds are licensed for commercial use with no attribution. For any other tool, check the terms of the plan you are on before you spend on ads; the table shows what each one said about watermarks. Either way, the claims in an ad — the price, the discount, the delivery promise — are yours to get right, so read the script before it renders.

Can I paste my Shopify or Amazon link instead of the description?

On Veedio the reliable route is to paste the product description. The composer can fetch a public web page, but store pages vary and many do not read cleanly. The script uses only the facts, prices and claims you give it — it is told never to invent a review, a discount or a statistic — and it comes back for you to read before anything renders.

What does a month of product videos cost?

On Veedio: Plans are monthly: Mini $7 (200 credits), Starter $19 (600 credits), Pro $49 (2,000 credits), Studio $149 (7,500 credits). A five-scene short in pictures costs 13 credits; with AI motion in every scene it costs 68. You see the price before you generate, and the first payment on any plan has a 7-day money-back guarantee. Each competitor’s entry price is in the table, as their own page stated it on the date shown.

Where do these facts come from, and when?

Every competitor row comes from our own sourced comparison of that product — read from the company’s own public pages on the date printed beside it, with the URLs at the bottom of this page — and links to the full side-by-side. Where that read recorded nothing, the cell says so. Veedio’s row is read from our own plan definitions.
