Veedio vs VEED:two different video tools

Veedio (veedio.co) is a separate, independent product. It is not VEED (veed.io) and is not affiliated with it. The names are close, and search engines sometimes treat one as a misspelling of the other.

Looking for VEED? It is at veed.io. Looking for Veedio? See Veedio plans and pricing.

Veedio and VEED are two different products from two different companies. If you want a full editor for footage you already have, VEED is built for that; if you want a finished short from an idea or a script, Veedio is built for that.

Everything in VEED’s column comes from their own public pages, read on 17 October 2026 and linked at the bottom of this page, so you can check every claim yourself. We have not audited any of it.

VEED is a video editor that runs in the browser — its video editor page says “Edit a video online, no software download required” — and it is built around footage you bring: drag in a file or paste a link, trim, crop and arrange clips on a timeline, edit by editing the transcript, and let its Auto Edits add subtitles, clean the audio and insert B-roll. Its homepage also lists text to video, AI avatars, voice cloning, a screen recorder and a video translator. Editing a video you already filmed is a job Veedio cannot do at all.

Veedio does one narrower thing. You give it an idea, a prompt or a script; it writes the script and shot list, shows them to you before anything renders, then narrates, captions and builds every scene into a vertical short, which you can publish to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts from the video’s own page. If you landed here looking for VEED, it is at veed.io. If you wanted the finished short rather than the editor, read on.

Be honest first

What VEED does better

Five things, unhedged. If any of them is what you are buying, they are the better purchase and this is the paragraph that says so.

A full editor for footage you already have

Their video editor page says to drag and drop your video file or paste a link, then trim, crop and arrange clips on the timeline. We take no video or audio in at all, so anything you have filmed is theirs to edit, not ours.

Subtitles on your own video, with the file

Their auto subtitle page says you upload your video, generate subtitles (they quote up to 99.9% accuracy) and download the subtitle file as SRT, VTT or TXT, with translation into other languages. Our captions are burned into videos we generate, and there is no subtitle file.

Exports up to 4K

Their video editor page says paid plans unlock watermark-free exports in 1080p to 4K quality. Every Veedio render is 1080-class, with no 4K option on any plan.

A much wider set of tools

Their homepage menu lists a screen recorder, a webcam recorder, a teleprompter, AI avatars, AI voice cloning, a video translator and dubbing, alongside text to video. We have five voices, no cloning, no recorder and no translation of an existing video.

Text-based editing and brand styling

Their video editor page describes editing a video by editing its transcript, cutting clips as easily as deleting text, and applying your logo, brand colours and fonts. Veedio has no timeline or transcript editor; you change a video by changing its script or a scene.

And what we lose at, on every page

  • Five voices, and that is the entire catalogue. They narrate 29 languages, but there is no cloning, no accent picker and no second voice to pick for a different niche.
  • No video or audio goes in. Footage you already filmed cannot be captioned, clipped, dubbed or repurposed — an image or a PDF can be uploaded as a *source*, but the video is always built from scratch.
  • No 4K. Every render is 1080-class, and there are five caption styles — bold, pop, highlight, subtle, none — all burned in, with no subtitle file and no custom font.
  • Three minutes is the ceiling. No face swap, no voice cloning, no translation of an existing video. Presenter scenes pick from a roster of 4 hosted faces on Pro and Studio — none of them is yours, and you cannot upload one.
  • No review score, because we are new. A made-up one is the fastest way to deserve a bad one.

Where we are ahead

What Veedio does better

A finished short from one idea

Type an idea, paste a script or a link, and the result is a narrated, captioned vertical video with every scene built for its own line — not a project to assemble on a timeline.

The script before anything renders

On any plan, every tool page writes the real script and shot list for your topic before the render spends credits on frames, so you judge the writing first.

Publish from the same page

Publish to TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts from the video’s own page, and read each post’s views, likes, comments and shares back in the same place.

Captions timed from the voice itself

Word timings come from the voice model’s own character alignment, because we generated the narration, so captions land on the syllable rather than near it.

Both, honestly

Two tools for two jobs

If you film things — talking-head clips, screen recordings, interviews — VEED is the tool for editing them, and Veedio will not help: it takes no video in.

If you start from an idea and want the finished short without filming or editing anything, that is what Veedio does. Some people will use both: VEED for the footage they shoot, Veedio for the faceless shorts they do not.

Which one you should actually buy

Choose VEED if

  • You have footage, a recording or a screen capture to edit.
  • You need a subtitle file (SRT or VTT) or a translation of an existing video.
  • You need 4K exports.
  • You want voice cloning, avatars, a teleprompter or a screen recorder in one subscription.
  • You want to edit on a timeline or by editing a transcript.

Choose Veedio if

  • You start from an idea, a prompt or a script, not from footage.
  • You want a finished narrated, captioned short rather than a project to edit.
  • You want to read and change the script before anything renders.
  • You want to publish to TikTok, Reels and Shorts from the video’s page.
  • You want a refund window on your first payment.

Try it rather than read about it

The tools people switch for

Each one writes a real script and shot list on the page, so you can judge the writing before you make the whole video. A plan comes first.

Script to Video Generator

You wrote the script. This cuts it into scenes, reads it in a real voice and puts a frame behind every line.

Text to Video Generator

Paste any block of text and get it back as a narrated, captioned vertical video with a frame per scene.

Questions

Is Veedio the same as VEED?

No. Veedio (veedio.co) is a separate, independent product. It is not VEED (veed.io) and is not affiliated with it. The names are similar; the companies, the products and the accounts are not.

Is Veedio part of veed.io?

No. Veedio is not owned by, part of, or affiliated with VEED or veed.io. A VEED account does not work on Veedio, and a Veedio account does not work on VEED. If you were looking for VEED, it is at veed.io.

What is the difference between Veedio and VEED?

VEED is a browser video editor with AI tools: you bring footage, then trim, subtitle and export it, and its homepage also lists text to video, avatars and voice cloning. Veedio takes an idea, prompt or script and returns a finished narrated, captioned vertical short you can publish to TikTok, Instagram Reels or YouTube Shorts. Veedio cannot edit footage you already have.

How much does Veedio cost?

Veedio plans are Mini at $7 a month for 200 credits, Starter at $19, Pro at $49 and Studio at $149, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment. Full details are on veedio.co/pricing. VEED’s own video editor page says its plans start at $9 a month billed yearly or $19 billed monthly.

Which one should I use?

If you want a full editor for footage you already have, VEED is built for that. If you want a finished short from an idea or a script, Veedio is built for that.

Where did the VEED details come from?

VEED’s own homepage, video editor page, auto subtitle page and pricing page, read on 17 October 2026 and linked below. We have not audited any of it, and their plans and features change.

Try ours before you decide

Every tool page needs a plan before it writes anything. Plans from $7/month (Mini), and the first payment has a 7-day money-back guarantee. Ten seconds of reading is enough to judge whether the writing is any good.
