Trending YouTube Shortsby country

YouTube’s own most-popular chart for each country, filtered to Shorts and re-ranked by views per day — whole, or narrowed to one of YouTube’s categories. Each chart is what viewers in that country are watching, not what was made there.

Questions

Where do these charts come from?

Each is YouTube's own most-popular chart for that country's region code, either whole or for one of YouTube's own categories. We keep the Shorts (three minutes or under), drop anything under a thousand views, allow no channel more than twice, and sort by views per day since publish. Every chart refreshes once a day.

Does a country's chart show videos made there?

No. A regional chart is what is popular with viewers in that country, and YouTube does not tell us where a channel is based. A UK chart is what the UK is watching, wherever it was made.

Why these countries?

They are markets where a lot of viewers watch in English, and these pages are written for English-speaking creators. Where English is one language among several (Canada, India, the Philippines, South Africa, Nigeria and Singapore), titles are screened for English and the page says it shows the English-titled slice of the chart.

Why is a category chart sometimes empty?

YouTube does not keep a chart for every category in every country, and some charts have no Shorts on them on a given day. Those pages say so and show nothing, rather than borrowing videos from another chart.

Is this TikTok data too?

No. YouTube Shorts only. We have no TikTok or Instagram corpus and any page implying otherwise would be lying about where the numbers came from.
