I woke up one morning and discovered my superpower: I could control sound, making everything around me perfectly silent with just a snap.
My noisy neighbors started blasting music, so I snapped again. Instant silence. They turned it up, I snapped again; this went on for a bit.
Then my neighbor knocked, and casually told me they could hear my silencing efforts. He smiled, snapped his fingers, and my house exploded with sound.
Turns out, I wasn't the one with the power. They were all in on it, just letting me think I was special, enjoying the silent game the whole time.
