How do you make a product video with AI?
Decide what the video must show: the problem the product solves, the one feature that matters, or how to use it. Write that as a short brief with the product’s real details, open on your own product photo, and let an AI video generator make the remaining scenes, voiceover and captions. Generated scenes show the customer’s moment, not your exact item, so keep claims to what the photo and your listing can prove.
- Veedio’s Product Video Generator opens on the 3D render style, the Rachel voice, Bold captions and Uplifting music.
- A product photo can be the opening frame of a Veedio video; the scenes after it are generated from the script.
- Five scenes cost 13 credits with stills or 68 with AI motion.
- On Pro and Studio, a UGC product ad has an AI creator hold your uploaded product photo and talk about it.
- Videos export at 1080p in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9 with no watermark on paid plans.
Three shapes of product video, and when each one works
Problem, then fix. Open on the annoyance the buyer already has, show the product ending it, close on where to buy. This is the shape for anything people buy to solve something: a drying rack, a lint shaver, a desk lamp that does not glare.
The one feature. Pick the single detail that separates this product from the one next to it on the shelf and spend the whole video on it. This suits products in crowded categories, where “good quality” means nothing and “the lid comes apart for the dishwasher” means a lot.
How to use it. Three or four steps, one per scene, ending on the result. This answers the question people ask before buying anything slightly unfamiliar, and it is the video you can link from the product page as well as post.
Choose one. A product video that tries to do all three becomes a list of adjectives, and lists of adjectives are what viewers scroll past.
Scene prompts that show the moment of use
Generated scenes are strongest when they show the situation around the product rather than a close-up of a product the model has never seen. Adapt these to your item.

Step by step
- 1
Choose the shape
Problem then fix, the one feature, or how to use it. Write it at the top of your brief so the script keeps to it.
- 2
Write a brief with real details
Name, what it is, who buys it, the one claim you can prove from the listing or packaging, the price if you want it said, and where to buy. Example: “Kiln and Kettle ceramic pour-over dripper, fits most mugs, comes apart for the dishwasher, $34, link in bio.”
- 3
Add your product photo as the first frame
In the composer, set one clean product photo to open the video. That is the only frame that shows your exact item; the rest show its moment of use.
- 4
Pick a look that matches your product photos
3D render is clean and bright and sits well next to studio shots. Cinematic suits lifestyle brands, Documentary suits practical tools, Watercolor or Claymation suit handmade goods.
- 5
Read the script before rendering
Delete any line that invents a material, a certification, a result or a review. Shorten anything you would not say out loud to a customer.
- 6
Render, then publish or attach
Post to TikTok, Reels and Shorts from the app, and download the 1080p MP4 for your product page or marketplace listing, in square or landscape if the page needs it.
- 7
Label realistic generated scenes
If a generated shot looks like real footage of a real place or person, use each platform’s AI label. Viewers should never think a generated scene is a photo of your product.
Worked example: a 30-second “one feature” video
6 scenes · about 30 seconds
Scene 1
This is the Kiln and Kettle pour-over dripper.
Visual: Your own product photo: the white ceramic dripper on a wooden counter, shot from slightly above.
On screen: Kiln and Kettle
Scene 2
Every pour-over makes good coffee. The difference is what happens after.
Visual: 3D render of a sink with a stained coffee filter holder and a used paper filter, soft morning light, slightly messy.
Scene 3
This one comes apart in two pieces, so the grounds rinse straight out.
Visual: 3D render of two clean ceramic pieces resting side by side on a drying rack, water droplets catching the light.
Scene 4
And both go in the dishwasher. No brush, no stained corners.
Visual: 3D render of an open dishwasher rack with a mug and two ceramic pieces, bright and tidy kitchen.
Scene 5
It sits on almost any mug you already own.
Visual: 3D render of a row of different mugs on a shelf, warm light, cosy kitchen corner.
Scene 6
Kiln and Kettle, thirty-four dollars. The link is in our bio.
Visual: 3D render of a steaming cup of coffee on a windowsill at sunrise, calm and inviting.
On screen: $34 · link in bio

Mistakes that make product videos look like ads nobody asked for
- Asking the generator for a close-up of your exact product. It has never seen it, so you get a lookalike. Use your photo for that frame.
- Opening on the logo. Open on the problem or the moment, and save the name for the photo frame or the end.
- Claiming materials, certifications or results that are not on your listing.
- Using a style that clashes with the rest of your shop’s imagery.
- No price and no place to buy. If you want people to act, tell them how.
- Posting only the vertical version when your product page needs a square or landscape one.
FAQ
Questions people ask next
Can AI animate my product photo into a video?
Veedio does not animate an uploaded photo as the main feature. Your photo opens the video as a frame, and the scenes after it are generated from the script to show the product’s use and setting.
Can an AI person hold my product?
On Pro and Studio, the composer’s UGC product ad option takes your product photo and has an AI creator, or a presenter made from your own photo, hold it and talk about it to camera. It is an AI presenter, so do not present it as a real customer.
Which aspect ratio should a product video be?
9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts. Many product pages and marketplaces show square or landscape video better, so render a 1:1 or 16:9 version for those.
How many product videos should I make per product?
Start with one of each shape: problem then fix, the one feature, and how to use it. They answer different questions, and you will learn which shape your buyers respond to.
Is there a way to see the look before paying?
With an account and no card you can make a 4-second preview of the idea, animated with sound but watermarked and not downloadable. A full product video needs a paid plan, from Starter at $19 monthly, with a 7-day money-back guarantee on the first payment.
