Transcript

Forget what movies tell you: falling into a black hole means you wouldn't feel your body stretch like spaghetti from tidal forces. Not immediately, anyway.

For supermassive black holes, your trip past the event horizon is surprisingly uneventful; you'd cross it without even noticing the boundary.

From that point, it’s a one-way journey into oblivion, experiencing extreme time dilation. A clock on your wrist would slow to an eventual stop for outside observers.

But for you, time continues normally until you reach the singularity, where density becomes infinite and space-time itself collapses, ending your existence.
