“एक छोटे से गाँव में चिंटू नाम का 10 साल का प्यारा और शरारती लड़का रहता था। एक दिन खेलते-खेलते चिंटू जंगल में पहुँच गया। वहाँ उसे एक अजीब चमकता हुआ पेड़ दिखाई दिया। पेड़ पर एक सुनहरा फल लगा था। जैसे ही चिंटू ने फल को छुआ, पेड़ बोल पड़ा, “चिंटू, तुम मुझसे सिर्फ एक चीज़ माँग सकते हो।” चिंटू पहले बहुत सारी मिठाइयाँ माँगने वाला था, लेकिन तभी उसे अपने गाँव के बच्चों की याद आई, जिनके पास खेलने के लिए खिलौने नहीं थे। चिंटू बोला, “मुझे अपने लिए कुछ नहीं चाहिए। मैं चाहता हूँ कि मेरे गाँव के सभी बच्चों के…”
