How to make an AI video in Hindi (Hindi mein AI video kaise banaye)

To make an AI video in Hindi, write or generate the script in Devanagari, set the video language to Hindi, pick a voice by tone, and keep captions in Devanagari so they match the narration word for word. Write short spoken sentences, use आप for a general audience, and spell English loanwords in Devanagari. In Veedio this is one setting: choose Hindi and the script, voiceover and burned-in captions all come out in Hindi.

  • Hindi is one of 29 narration and caption languages in Veedio.
  • All 20 catalog voices can narrate Hindi; you choose by tone, not by language.
  • Captions are word-timed to the narration, so they appear in the script the narration is written in.
  • Image prompts stay in English behind the scenes, because the image models read English.
  • Videos run 30s, 60s, 90s or 3 minutes, in 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9.

What people actually make in Hindi

Hindi short video searches are mostly typed in Roman letters: "ai story video kaise banaye", "horror story video in hindi", "nursery rhymes video kaise banaen". The videos people want are spoken Hindi, though, and the formats are clear: kahaniyan with a moral, animal cartoons for children, horror narrations for late-night viewers, rhymes for toddlers, and quick fact Shorts.

All of these are narration-led. A good Hindi short is really a good Hindi script read aloud well, with pictures that follow along. That is why most of the work on this page is about writing for the ear: register, sentence length, how loanwords are spelled, and which script the captions use.

Each format has its own guide in this collection with a full sample script in Devanagari, an English translation and the settings that suit it.

Writing Hindi that sounds right when spoken

  • Pick one register and hold it. आप is safe for a general audience and for elders; तुम suits a friendly, younger channel; तू belongs inside dialogue between close characters, not in narration addressed to viewers.
  • Address a group of children as "बच्चो" (vocative, no bindu), not "बच्चों". The same goes for "दोस्तो". It is a small thing listeners notice.
  • Write the nuqta where you want the sound: ज़िंदगी, फ़ायदा, ग़ायब. Without it, the voice may say the plain ज or फ sound.
  • Spell English words the way Hindi speakers say them, in Devanagari: वीडियो, मोबाइल, स्कूल. A Latin word in the middle of a Devanagari sentence can switch the voice into an English accent for that word.
  • Keep sentences to one idea and end them with the पूर्ण विराम (।). The voice pauses at it, and the caption cue breaks cleanly.
  • Write numbers as words when they matter to the story ("तीन दोस्त"), so the narration and caption agree on how they are said.

Devanagari or Hinglish captions?

Captions in Veedio are timed word by word from the narration, so they show exactly the words the voice reads, in the script you wrote them in. If the script is in Devanagari, the captions are in Devanagari. There is no separate setting that turns Devanagari narration into Roman captions.

Devanagari is the right default for stories, rhymes and anything aimed at families: it reads as Hindi, and the narration sounds most natural from it. Romanized Hinglish ("aaj ki kahani") is how many viewers type in comments and search, but a voice reading a Roman-letter script can drift towards English pronunciation, so if you try it, preview a line first.

A practical split many channels use: Devanagari in the video, Hinglish in the title and description, where people search. A title like "Bandar aur Magarmachh | Hindi Kahani" is found by both kinds of search.

Sample: a 30-second Hindi idiom Short (मुहावरा)

5 scenes · about 30 seconds

  1. Scene 1

    आज का मुहावरा है — नौ दो ग्यारह होना। सुनने में गणित लगता है, पर है नहीं।

Visual: Claymation: a small clay boy in a school uniform frowning at a chalkboard that shows 9 + 2 = 11, warm classroom light, soft focus background.

    On screen: नौ दो ग्यारह होना

  2. Scene 2

    रसोई में बिल्ली ने दूध का कटोरा देखा। तभी दरवाज़े पर दादी की चप्पलों की आवाज़ आई।

Visual: Claymation: a ginger clay cat creeping toward a steel bowl of milk on a kitchen floor; a pair of grandmother's slippers appears in the doorway.

  3. Scene 3

    और बिल्ली? नौ दो ग्यारह! पल भर में ग़ायब।

Visual: Claymation: the cat leaping out of an open window in a blur, the milk bowl left untouched and rocking slightly.

  4. Scene 4

    जब कोई डर के मारे या मौक़ा देखकर फ़ौरन भाग जाए, तो कहते हैं — वह नौ दो ग्यारह हो गया।

Visual: Claymation: back at the chalkboard, the boy laughing; the sum is wiped away and replaced by a drawing of a running cat.

  5. Scene 5

    अब आप बताइए — आप आख़िरी बार कब नौ दो ग्यारह हुए थे? कमेंट में लिखिए।

Visual: Claymation: the boy turning to camera with a grin, waving, the chalkboard behind him.

    On screen: आप कब नौ दो ग्यारह हुए?

English translation of the sample

1. Today's idiom is "to become nine-two-eleven". It sounds like maths, but it isn't. 2. In the kitchen, the cat spotted a bowl of milk. Just then, Grandma's slippers were heard at the door. 3. And the cat? Nine-two-eleven! Gone in a flash. 4. When someone runs off at once, out of fear or because they see their chance, we say they became nine-two-eleven. 5. Now you tell me: when did you last do a nine-two-eleven? Write it in the comments.

Why it works: the idiom is on screen in the first second, the story proves the meaning before it is explained, and the closing question gives Hindi speakers an easy, playful reason to comment. Five scenes with still images cost 13 credits; the same five with AI motion cost 68.

Make your first Hindi video

  1. 1

    Set the language to Hindi

Choose Hindi before you generate. The script writer then writes in Hindi, and the voice and captions follow it. You can type your idea in Hindi, Hinglish or English.

  2. 2

    Paste or generate the script

Paste a Devanagari script if you have one, or describe the idea and let the script writer draft it. Read it aloud once: any sentence you stumble on, the voice will too.

  3. 3

    Pick a voice by tone

Every voice in the catalog speaks Hindi. Choose by mood: George or Elli for stories, Brian for horror, Jessica for children, Matilda or Daniel for facts. Preview a line, because some voices will sound more natural to your ear in Hindi than others.

  4. 4

Choose a caption style that suits Devanagari

Boxed and Bold keep full words readable with their matras. Styles described as uppercase change nothing in Devanagari, which has no capital letters, so pick on placement and size.

  5. 5

Check one frame and the first ten seconds

Look for a missing nuqta, an English word that slipped into Latin letters, or a caption cue that breaks a word pair awkwardly. Fix the script, not the caption.

  6. 6

    Publish to Shorts or Reels

Publish to YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels from the app, or export the file for WhatsApp Status and other apps. Add a Hinglish title so Roman-letter searches find it.

  7. 7

    Label and set the audience

If a scene looks realistic, use YouTube's altered or synthetic content disclosure. If the video is for children, mark it made for kids.

Note: TikTok is not available in India, so Indian Hindi audiences are mostly reached on YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels and WhatsApp. Veedio publishes to the first two directly; for WhatsApp Status, export the 9:16 file and share it from your phone.

FAQ

Questions people ask next

Hindi mein AI video kaise banaye?

Language Hindi chuniye, apna idea ya script daaliye, ek voice chuniye aur generate kijiye. In English: set the language to Hindi, paste a Devanagari script or describe your idea, pick a voice, and generate. The script, voiceover and captions come out in Hindi together.

Can the captions be in Hinglish while the voice speaks Hindi?

Not as a separate setting. Captions show the narration words as written. Write in Devanagari for the most natural voice and use Hinglish in your title, description and hashtags, where Roman-letter searches happen.

Which voice sounds best in Hindi?

There is no Hindi-only voice; all 20 voices narrate Hindi. Pick by tone (George or Elli for stories, Brian for horror, Jessica for kids) and preview a sentence or two before committing. On Pro and Studio you can also clone your own voice and narrate in it.

Can I type the idea in English and get a Hindi video?

Yes. The language setting decides what the script is written in, not the language of your prompt. Many people type a one-line idea in English or Hinglish and get a Devanagari script back to review.

Does Veedio support Urdu, Bengali or Marathi?

No. Hindi and Tamil are the Indian languages in the catalog. Urdu, Bengali, Telugu, Marathi, Gujarati and Punjabi are not supported for narration or captions.

Is a Hindi video cheaper or more expensive than an English one?

The cost is the same in every language: 3 credits per generation plus 2 per scene with stills, or 13 per scene with AI motion. Every full video needs a paid plan, starting with Starter at $19/mo.

What should I put in the title of a Hindi Short?

Put the hook in Hinglish or Devanagari and add the word "Hindi" or "हिंदी". Viewers search both ways, and a mixed title, for example "Nau Do Gyarah ka matlab | हिंदी मुहावरे", catches both.
