At midnight, a little boy heard three loud knocks on his bedroom window glass. He lived on the third floor of a very tall apartment building.
He slowly opened the curtains, but nobody was there on the other side of the glass. Then his favorite toy rabbit turned its head and whispered, “Don't open the door.”
Suddenly, three new loud knocks came from inside his wooden wardrobe across the room. The bedroom lights flickered twice and then went completely out.
From the deep darkness, a tiny, raspy voice whispered, “I found you.” The boy froze, his heart pounding, wondering if he was truly alone in his room.
